These are the ground rules for using this site. I've kept them short.

This is not medical advice

The site gives general information from published sources. It isn't a doctor, it doesn't know your health history, and using it doesn't make anyone your doctor. Decisions about your health or your child's belong with a clinician who knows you.

If this is a medical emergency, call 911. For poisoning, call Poison Control at 1-800-222-1222. For a mental-health crisis, call or text 988.

The answers can be wrong

An AI model writes the replies. I've built in checks that try to tie every factual sentence to a source you can read yourself. Some sentences still get through without one, and other mistakes can get through too. Sources also go out of date. Please check anything that matters before you act on it.

Who it's for

The site is written for adults in the United States. The emergency numbers and the pharmacy finder are US ones.

Using it fairly

Please don't try to break the site, overload it, or get around its limits. Don't put other people's private details into a conversation.

Conversations you share

If you choose to share a conversation, you're giving me permission to read it and use it to improve the site. I won't publish it. You can delete it with your code whenever you like. The details are on the privacy page.

No guarantees

I run this on my own and offer it as it is. It may be slow, busy or offline, and I may change it or shut it down. To the extent the law allows, I'm not liable for losses that come from using it or from relying on what it says.
